Our story started when I was 20 weeks pregnant. We found out our son was going to be born with Triology of fallot. He was born on 1/28/21 and after only holding him for 3 minutes, he was swept away to the NICU to be monitored. He has a balloon procedure which didn't work then had a stent put in and we were sent home until he was 3 months old and he had to have his first heart surgery.
for the last 5 years, he has had endless stent expansion procedures that turned into more stents being put in. He then had to have another unexpected heart surgery and since then has been doing amazing!
this walk means so much to us. Being around other families who have been through what we have is something that brings comfort to something that could not have make anything ease that pain. This walk is amazing because it helps support the funds needed to help support services and research so hopefully they can find a cure but also support people like our family who is still in the fight.
