We're walking this year for our daughter Olivia, our very own Heart Warrior. When Olivia was just 3 months old, she underwent surgery for a congenital heart defect. Watching her fight through that at such a tiny age — and seeing the strength she carries today — is something that changed our family forever. We walk for her, and for every family who knows what it's like to sit in a hospital waiting room, holding onto hope.
This year holds extra meaning as The Children's Heart Foundation celebrates 30 incredible years of funding research that saves lives and changes futures. For three decades, CHF has been the leading force behind the treatments and surgical advances that help children like Olivia thrive. The research they fund improves survival rates, reduces complications, and helps Heart Warriors celebrate more birthdays than ever before.
