I have been supporting The Children’s Heart Foundation since my granddaughter was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect in 2024, before she was even born. This past year, we were blessed to celebrate Adley’s first birthday, as well as the “heartiversary” of her Rastelli procedure. She is doing incredibly well and currently has what is considered normal heart function—she is thriving. We are so thankful for answered prayers.
While we celebrate these milestones, we also know her journey is far from over. Adley will face additional surgeries as she grows, and like so many Heart Warriors, her needs will continue throughout her life.
That’s why this cause means so much to me. As The Children’s Heart Foundation celebrates 30 incredible years of funding research that saves lives and changes futures, they continue to lead the way in advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects. Their support of groundbreaking research helps improve survival rates, reduce complications, and give Heart Warriors the chance to celebrate more birthdays than ever before. Just as importantly, they are helping address the lifelong care these heart warriors need as more of them grow into adulthood and thrive.
