Ella was 13 months old when she died from an undiagnosed congenital heart defect (CHD).

We had no idea anything was wrong. We didn’t know there was something we should be watching for, asking about or trying to treat. And when we finally learned how sick her heart was, it was too late.

Ella is just one story. CHDs are the most common birth defect in the U.S. and kill more children than any other birth defect.

That is why research matters so much.

That is why we’re walking with Ella’s Umbrella to support The Children’s Heart Foundation, where 100% of the funds raised through the Congenital Heart Walk go toward CHD research.

Research finds answers we don’t have yet, and gives more kids the chance to grow up.
