If you knew our son, even for a moment, you know why we're here.
Our sweet Mighty Miles was born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS), a severe congenital heart defect. From the day he entered the world, he fought with everything he had. He endured surgeries, countless procedures, setbacks, and challenges that no baby should ever have to face. Through it all, he showed us what true courage, resilience, and unconditional love look like.
Although Miles was only with us for a short time, his impact has been immeasurable. He brought together an entire community of people who loved him, prayed for him, cheered him on, and continue to carry his memory forward. He taught us to celebrate every victory, hold onto hope, and find light even in the hardest moments.
Today, we walk because of him.
We walk so that one day fewer families have to hear the words, "Your baby has a heart defect." We walk to help fund research, improve treatments, support the incredible medical teams who dedicate their lives to these children, and give future heart warriors an even greater chance to live long, beautiful lives.
