E for Esai welcome to our page! 
We are on year 3 for celebrating and raising awareness to honor our heart warrior. Esai Mateo was diagnosed in the womb with HLHS a severe congenital heart disease, HLHS is described as a critical condition where the left side of the heart is underdeveloped cause Esai to live his life with only half a heart, this condition requires a series of 3 reconstructive surgeries he as under gone 3 open heart surgeries Norwood at birth  , Norwood correction , Glenn at6 months  and is awaiting the Fontan and many procedures to help his function although there is no cure for this condition there is definitely hope , Esai is 3 years old a resilient loving boy who steals every one's hearts with his warm smile and curly hair , Esai loves Moana and paw patrol ,Cheetos and anything with cheese he  is a sibling to two sisters and a brother Esai is changing the world one day at a time with his resilience and inspiration his strength and showing us miracles do come true as he is living proof

Esai was a part of a research in 2023 while still in the womb which allowed drs to preform surgery on his tiny heart to open up his ventricle which was successful and that is why he has a better chance of life now !
