San Francisco Congenital Heart Walk

We will always scream #TEAMLOGANHURT!! We love you so much son! You are the strongest young man I know as a little baby you have fought your whole life to be on this earth. God has a bigger plan for you, he kept you on this earth for a reason. Your battle is what mold you to be resilant! I will always be by yourside as long as I am here on this earth. I love you kiddo MY HEARTWARRIOR. My strenglth comes from you, your battles are never fought alone. You have a team behind you that will never give up hope, we will always wait for you in the lobby. 14yrs strong pop! 14 years of a journey that is wild and turned in every direction. Today I am thankful to attend another walk in your honor.

This year, I'm walking with extra purpose as The Children's Heart Foundation celebrates 30 incredible years of funding research that saves lives and changes futures. My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me—especially knowing that for three decades, CHF has been the leading force behind the treatments and surgical advances that help children with congenital heart defects thrive.

It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward the next 30 years of hope. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation's crucial mission—advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research that improves survival rates, reduces complications, and helps Heart Warriors celebrate more birthdays than ever before.

We are now 14yrs strong with our heart warrior. I would have never imagined giving birth to a little boy not knowing his 2 week check up he would be flown to Lucille Packard hospital for heart surgery. Before this time came I never knew of Congenital Heart defects, at least I never prepared myself for a 1 in 100 kiddo to be going through so much in life. Our 13yr journey has been a roller coaster, many in out of the hospital settings. Spending months in the hospital at a time, endocarditis really gave us a run for anxiety, fear, thanking the man above for keeping Logan with us. Many, many blood draws to keep a stable INR level, this young man was born with ASD( Atrial Septal Defect)- which is A birth defect that causes a hole in the wall between the heart's upper chambers (atria), and VSD (A heart defect due to an abnormal connection between the lower chambers of the heart (ventricles). Logan has gone through many open heart surgeries that leave our family sitting on the edge to say the least waiting for him to come out, this has got to be the longest minutes to hours of a wait. We could have never gotten though our days with out prayer and I mean heavy prayers. Logan is a kiddo who loves everyone, he is such a caring little man, smarty at times, always has us on our toes with medical situations (not fun), he's a character very-very silly dude, always cracking a smile and always ready to tease. We walk this walk every year to honor Logan for surving, beating all odds of not surving many babies and children lose their life's to CHD. Logan as my first born had taught me be thankful, spend your time wisely, and make many many memories to last a life time, because his lifetime could have been cut more than once which is very scary to think about. We are CHD strong, we will continue to fight this battle ❤️ together. GO #Team LoganHurt. We love you Pop, always baby Logan
