As two families, we've lived through every parent's worst nightmare.

In September 2024, Easton suffered a sudden cardiac arrest at just 16 years old. Six months later, Alyssa, suffered a sudden cardiac arrest too.

There are no words for those moments. The fear. The uncertainty. The prayers, and the overwhelming gratitude that both of our kids are still here.

We know how blessed we are. We also know that not every family gets this ending.

That's why we've joined together as Team "Defying the Odds" for the Detroit Congenital Heart Walk. We're walking for our kids, for every heart warrior, for the families who are still fighting, and in memory of those who should still be here.
