Cleveland Congenital Heart Walk

Hi Everyone!

As some know our sweet Colt was born with a heart defect known as Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia. We did not know about his heart defect until we were hours away from going home. We are grateful for the nurses who noticed that something was just not right with our boy. Colt spent his first 45 days of life in the Akron Children's NICU where we faced many ups and downs and at just 5 weeks old he had open heart surgery and earned his little zipper. Colt's heart journey is a lifetime journey. He will have to have a couple more heart surgeries as he continues to grow along with endless doctor visits. To say it was a very trying time of our lives is an understatement but the amount of support our family received those 45 days and still to this day is something we will forever be grateful for. We are very thankful for all the medical staff that had a part in Colts heart journey and gave us a lifetime to love him. Colt has taught us what it means to be resilient and no matter what he has faced he is always happy. This is our second year walking for CHD and is something we hold close to us. We will forever support the funding for CHD and encourage you to do the same!
