Charlotte Congenital Heart Walk

We walk in honor of our sweet boy, Raylan Davis- our little ray of sunshine who changed our lives forever. When we were pregnant with Raylan, we found out he had Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a congenital heart defect that would mean a lifetime of challenges. We had no idea what the road ahead would look like, but we quickly learned that Raylan was stronger than anyone could have imagined. For 357 days, Raylan showed us what true courage, strength, and joy looked like. He endured more than most people will in a lifetime, yet he continued to smile, love his people, and bring light into every room he entered. He taught us that a life does not have to be long to be incredibly meaningful. We walk because Raylan’s story matters. We walk for the families who are still sitting in hospital rooms, waiting for answers. We walk for the babies fighting their first battles and the parents learning a language they never expected to know. We walk to support research, awareness, and hope for a future where more children with congenital heart defects can thrive. Our purpose is to take the love we have for Raylan and turn it into something that helps others. We want his life to continue making an impact. We want his sunshine to reach families who need it most. Every step, every donation, and every person who joins us helps us carry Raylan’s legacy forward. This year, The Children's Heart Foundation celebrates 30 incredible years of funding research that saves lives and changes futures.
