In loving memory of our heart warrior Lauren Josie Haigler.

Lauren was born October 6, 2025 with a single ventricle heart defect.  She spent 23 days inpatient and we got to go home for about 2.5 weeks.  Lauren got sick and later went into heart failure.  She had a Berlin heart for several months.  She received a heart transplant on 5/24/26.  Unfortunately it failed and Lauren never recovered.   She died 6/2/26.  We were inpatient 198 days. Lauren was the happiest baby and had the most beautiful smile and sweetest giggles. She loved wagon rides, playing on the mat on the floor, watching everyone pass by her room and never missed out on a conversation. 
 

It was my honor and biggest blessing to be Lauren's mom.  Her loss is immeasurable and the pain is unrelentless. I never want her to be forgotten and want to raise CHD awareness for her and all other heart angels and warriors.  CHD research is severely underfunded.
