To our amazing family, friends, and supporters,
It’s that time of year again—our annual CHD Awareness Walk, and once again, we are walking in honor and loving memory of my precious son, Cartier, forever “Mommy’s Big Man.” ?
Every year that we gather in his name means more to me than words could ever fully express. Cartier may no longer be here for me to hold in my arms, but the love, strength, and purpose he brought into our lives are still very much alive. His little heart made a BIG impact, and his story continues to inspire us to love harder, advocate louder, and never take a single heartbeat for granted.
This walk is more than a walk for our family. It is part of Cartier’s legacy.
We walk for Cartier.
We walk for every CHD warrior still fighting.
We walk for the little angels whose hearts gained their wings. ?️
We walk for the parents and families who know the fear, strength, faith, and love that come with the CHD journey.
And we walk for greater awareness, research, support, and stronger tomorrows.
Galatians 6:9 reminds us, “Let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.”
That scripture continues to remind me why we keep showing up. Even through grief, we can turn our love into purpose. We can continue saying Cartier’s name. We can continue sharing his story. And together, we can help bring attention to congenital heart defects and the precious children and families affected by them.
To everyone joining Team Cartier, donating, sharing our fundraiser, wearing his shirt, saying his name, or simply keeping our family in your heart—thank you. Your support helps me carry my baby’s legacy forward in a way that is bigger than I ever imagined.
