Our personal journey with our son, Banks, who was born in April 2025, has inspired us to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk for the second year and to serve on its committee. This event holds immense significance for our family. Without the groundbreaking research and medical advancements made over the past three decades, Banks would not be here today. In fact, he likely would not have survived his first day of life because of his complex congenital heart defect.
It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research. We are so grateful for foundations such as this one as well as the medical staff at Dell's Children's Hospital who diagnosed Banks, held our hands through the whole process, and gave hope and a future to Banks.
