Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making a difference. Our mission is clear - we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation in its quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research.

Lyndi was born in February 2020 with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. She had 6 open heart surgeries, as well as caths and other procedures, before she turned 18 months old. At 18 months she was given no other surgical options. Despite the doctors being unsure if she would see her 2nd birthday, she faught and thrived. She lived a life full of joy and adventure despite the odds against her. Two months after her 4th birthday in 2024, her heart became too tired and she passed peacefully in my arms. I always held onto hope that new options would become available.
