I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit our fundraising page.

Every year we walk with a deeper purpose, one shaped by love, loss, and the enduring hope that carries our family forward. My son, Adler, was born with congenital heart defects and died at just 11 months old in March of 2021. His life, and his passing, changed the trajectory of our family forever. From the moment he was rushed to the NICU after birth, we entered a world we never expected, one filled with fear, resilience, and a fierce determination to fight for Adler and other children like him.

As The Children’s Heart Foundation celebrates 30 years of life‑saving research, we walk in Adler’s honor. We walk because every breakthrough, every new treatment, every improved surgical technique represents another child getting the chance Adler didn’t. This will be my second year serving as a committee member for the CHF West Michigan Walk, and being part of this community has become a meaningful way to channel my grief into purpose.

This walk is a stride toward the next 30 years of hope. It’s about supporting The Children’s Heart Foundation’s mission to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects so that more Heart Warriors can grow, thrive, and celebrate milestones with the families who love them.

I invite you to join us in this mission by supporting our fundraising efforts. Your generosity fuels the research that transforms heartbreak into hope. It means more birthdays, more memories, and more futures for families facing CHD.
