I was diagnosed with a rare congenital heart defect called Tetralogy of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia and Ventricular Septal Defect. I had my first open heart surgery when I was just 16 days old at Helen DeVos Children's Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I had my second open heart surgery four days before my second birthday, just a few weeks ago.
