Thank you so much for visiting our team fundraising page.
This year, we're walking with extra purpose as The Children’s Heart Foundation celebrates 30 years of funding life-saving research for children with congenital heart defects. We are proud to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk to support CHF’s mission of advancing diagnosis, treatment, and prevention through groundbreaking research.
This walk is deeply personal for our family. Rylee had open-heart surgery at just 5 days old, where bands were placed around two VSDs to restrict abnormal blood flow, along with repair of a coarctation of her aorta. She was strong enough to come home the day before Thanksgiving. At 4 months old, she required another surgery due to scarring in her aorta and to widen the bands as her VSDs began closing on their own. She will need another surgery in the future to place a stent in her aorta and remove the bands, though we are hopeful that day is many years away.
Today, Rylee is a thriving, super-active 2-year-old—running around with her big sister, dancing, and keeping us on our toes with her sass and big personality.
We invite you to be part of this journey by supporting my fundraising efforts. Together, we can help turn heartbreak into hope and give more children like Rylee the chance to live full, joyful lives. Thank you for your generosity—your support truly means the world to us. ❤️
