I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page.

As many of you know, our granddaughter Emily has a severe congenital heart defect, Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. As of now there is no cure for HLHS, only a series of 3 palliative open heart surgeries to hopefully prolong her life. 

Although these surgeries have been successful and we are so grateful, if she would need further surgical intervention for any reason it would have to be a heart transplant.

Research is key for finding a cure for Emily and other children with congenital heart defects.

We are raising funds for the St. Louis Congenital Heart Walk on September 27th. All funds are used strictly for research. 

My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
