Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

This foundation is very near and dear to me and my family's hearts, quite literally!  In November of 2022 I was diagnosed with having an Atrial Septal Defect that was 15 x 18 mm or approximately 3/4 inches. Sometime in  2023 I will be having Open Heart Surgery to have this defect repaired!  Thankfully my defect and the repair is one that has been performed many, many times. Researchers are continuously working together to figure out the best methods for treatment, therapies, and overall quality of life for kids like ME, and many others affected by congenital heart defects. 

Did you know 1 in 100 kids born in America have some type of Congenital Heart Defect?
