We’re walking for my son, Stephen—a true heart warrior. Stephen was born with congenital heart disease, including Bicuspid Aortic Valve, Severe Aortic Stenosis, and Aortic Insufficiency. From the very beginning, his heart has had to work harder, but so has he.

Stephen is kind, loving, helpful, funny, brave, and strong. He has a huge heart in every sense of the word. When he grows up, he wants to be a garbage man, because he loves helping his community. He also loves camping, Disney, and gaming, and he brings joy and laughter everywhere he goes.

We’re walking to raise awareness and support research, advocacy, and resources for families like ours living with CHD. Every step we take is for Stephen and for all heart warriors who face this journey with courage every day.
