2024 Philadelphia Congenital Heart Walk

Our son Oliver James was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at 3 days old. He spent his first week of life in the PICU at UNC Chapel Hill Medical Hospital. He later returned for open heart surgery to repair his TAPVR on January 10, 2024 at 14 weeks old. He is doing wonderfully and back to his smiley little self. No parent should have to see their newborn child suffer. Spreading awareness and helping in the research of CHD has become so important to us.

My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
