2023 New York City Congenital Heart Walk

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

I hope you'll join me by supporting my fundraising efforts as I work to raise funds for life-saving research.

We will be joining this walk in honor of Zen and all of the other heart babies out there that would benefit from further research of CHD.

Zens's CHD was not discovered until a few hours after he was born during newborn screenings. The nurse attending to him heart a heart murmur and worked to quickly have it checked out. He was quickly rushed to the hospitals NICU and then transported to a hospital in NY that specializes in Neonatal pediatric care the very next day. At just 4 days old, Zen required open heart surgery to fix the defects he was born with. From there we remained in the hospital for 3 weeks monitoring his heart and scar.

Our journey with CHD is far from over, but we are hopeful for the future, especially with foundations like this that strive to help push research and development into finding out more about this disease.
