Having Julien changed my life, and I will never be the same because of it. At just over 20 weeks pregnant, like 1/3 of CHD journeys, we already had a diagnosis. The remainder of my pregnancy was filled with anxiety and uncertainty - something I wish no one ever had to experience. Once Julien was born, it was obvious that he needed surgery. So, at just 4 days old our sweet baby underwent open heart surgery. We are very fortunate that Julien came home from the hospital, but we often think of the families and Heart Angels who have a different story.
