This year, the Congenital Heart Walk holds an even deeper meaning for me and my family. Earlier this year, in January, our daughter Abigail underwent open-heart surgery after being born with a congenital heart defect. Watching her go through something so major at such a young age was one of the hardest things we’ve ever faced — but thanks to expert care, incredible research, and a whole lot of love, her surgery was a success. She’s doing amazingly well.
