Thank you for visiting our Bridger's Buddies team page! Every 15 minutes, a baby in this country is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs America's most common birth defect. Our team is in honor of Bridger Bolstad, who is Susan's nephew, Preston's son, Tracy's grandson, Mason and Tucker's little brother, and was born in North Dakota in 2014 with congenital heart defects. He has received all of his care for the last 8.5 years 700 miles away from his home at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, where he has had multiple open heart surgeries and other extensive procedures and testing. I've been fortunate to visit him two times while there for open heart surgeries. The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to raising funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation's mission: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding the most promising research.
