This walk is more than just an event — it’s personal. I’m walking in honor of my son, Skyler, who was born with a congenital heart defect. He was funny, brilliant, and fiercely loved. Even though his heart wasn’t built the way it should’ve been, it beat with so much love and strength.

Skyler passed away unexpectedly at just 15 years old. Every step I take in this walk is for him — and for every child still fighting.
