This Saturday, I’ll be walking in the Congenital Heart Walk, and I’m walking for my son, Jeremiah — my brave, strong, funny little boy who has been a fighter since before he was born.

We found out during the pregnancy that Jeremiah had a congenital heart defect. I’ll never forget the moment we heard those words. 

At just one week old, Jeremiah underwent his first heart surgery. In November 2023, he had another. He’s only 2 years old, but he’s already faced more than most of us do in a lifetime. And through it all, he’s shown nothing but strength, courage, and a smile that lights up every room.

As his dad, I can’t fix his heart with my own hands — but I can walk. I can fundraise. I can fight for a future where kids like Jeremiah don’t have to go through this.

That’s why I’m supporting the Children’s Heart Foundation. They’re making real change through research that leads to better care, better outcomes, and better hope for kids born with CHD.
