Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

Izzy's Village was formed on 9/27/2017.  Izzy is my granddaughter and that's the day she came into this world.  We were granted 5 glorious days where we knew she was tiny and premature but she was going to be fine.  On day 6 we found out that she had 3 congenital heart defects.  They were common.  They were fixable.  On day 10 she went in for a 6 hour surgery that turned into a 15 hour fight to save her life.  After surgery Izzy lived for 11 more days on life support but her life here on this earth wasn't meant to be.  Izzy's Village surrounded us and she has shown us her light every day since.

Our family didn't get the happy ending we were hoping for but I believe that helping to fund research on congenital heart defects will help develop treatments and cures for all the other babies and kids that suffer, along with their families.  

On August 24th my family and I will be walking with members of Izzy's Village to support The Children's Heart Foundation.  I hope you'll join me by supporting my fundraising efforts as I work to raise funds for life-saving research.
