We want to express our heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit our fundraising page. Our commitment to making a difference has led us to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for our family. It's not just a walk; it's a concerted effort to change and improve the lives of babies with congenital heart disease while honoring our sweet heart angel, Theodore. 

This endeavor is to raise money and awareness for The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research. Theodore was diagnosed with an AV canal defect along with a tricuspid value leak during his anatomy scan at 19 weeks. That was the beginning of our road of uncertainty. All of the sudden, our unborn baby had a cardiologist and a cardiac surgeon. During my pregnancy, TJ had three cardiac echos, multiple ultrasounds and many Nonstress Tests. Every one of his doctors were hopeful regarding his prognosis. They also communicated his future needs, as there would be multiple follow ups, at least one heart surgery, and continual management of his long term care needs. His birth was beautiful and so was TJ. He stayed strong for those first 48 hours… but then his heart got quiet and God took him home.

Our team is walking with purpose this year—celebrating 30 incredible years of The Children's Heart Foundation funding research that saves lives! Every 15 minutes in the United States, a baby is born with a congenital heart defect, making CHDs the most common birth defect in our country. For three decades, CHF has been the driving force behind the treatments and surgical advances that have transformed survival rates and given countless children with CHD the chance to thrive.

The Congenital Heart Walk is dedicated to making this impact continue. Our mission is clear—we aim to raise funds to support The Children's Heart Foundation's quest to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of CHDs by funding groundbreaking research that improves outcomes, reduces complications, and helps Heart Warriors live longer, healthier lives.
