We’re walking for Meadow’s Magic Heart because our daughter Meadow was born with a complex congenital heart condition called Tetralogy of Fallot, which includes four different heart defects.
She had her first open-heart surgery when she was just six days old. And by the time she was five months old, Meadow had already been through six surgeries.
Today, she’s doing so well. She’s funny, brave, full of spark, and the best kind of wild. But unless medicine catches up to her, Meadow will need more open-heart surgeries as she grows.
That’s why we’re walking. The Congenital Heart Walk raises money for The Children’s Heart Foundation to fund life-saving research for kids born with heart defects, which are the most common birth defect in the world.
