As many of you know, Walter was unexpectedly diagnosed with a congenital heart defect at two weeks old and required life-saving open-heart surgery the next day. My family and I are trying our best to find our footing in this new world of having a heart baby. What we want is help in bringing awareness and support for congenital heart defects. That's why we're participating in our first walk with The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission-advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.
