Thank you for visiting my fundraising page in honor of Hayes! We are participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

Hayes was born in September 2020. After a completely normal pregnancy and delivery we were shocked to learn that our perfectly healthy baby was actually born with a broken heart. At 2 days old Hayes was diagnosed with a VSD and ASD and at 2 weeks old he started showing signs of congestive heart failure. He was medically managed for a few months but surgical repair was needed in January 2021. Hayes is now a typical wild and crazy 2 1/2 year old. If it weren't for his scars no one would ever believe he has been through so much in such a short period of time.
