This year we are blessed and excited to be walking in our second year for the Children’s Heart foundation. We are participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research. Mason our heart warrior is strong and we are walking to honor him. Mason was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation with Tetralogy of Fallot (Tof). Tof is a congenital heart condition that has four heart defects. At 4 months old, Mason underwent heart surgery to repair 3 out of the 4 defects. Due to the advances in science and research today we are lucky that Mason can live his life as typical 6 year old. He is funny, eager to learn, loving and brings a smile to every family member and person he meets. We still have a long road ahead of us, as he will eventually need another surgery.
