Half a Heart, Twice the Fight - Owen Burns Fundraising Page for CHD

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page! I am participating in the Congenital Heart Walk to support the mission of The Children's Heart Foundation: to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects by funding the most promising research.

As many of you know, our son was born with a congenital heart disease (CHD), which we are still in the hospital working through. Though 1 in 5000 are born with HLHS (what Owen has), 1 in every 100 newborns are born with congenital heart disease, making it the most common birth defect. That means every 15 minutes a new CHD story begins, altering the course of a family’s life in unpredictable ways for a lifetime.
