Our commitment to making a difference has led us to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for our family. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.

Our precious son Austin was born with Tetralogy of Fallot 10 years ago. It was a devastating diagnosis at the time, because we learned that our precious baby would need open heart surgery at the age of 6 months. We lived in Virginia at the time and were blessed with an amazing pediatric cardiologist at Inova Children's Cardiology named Dr. Sharif Tawfik. Soon after Austin was born, we had to move to North Carolina, where Austin's Cardiology team changed to Duke Children's Hospital. He is under the care of the wonderful Dr. Michael Campbell and his successful surgery was performed by Dr. Lodge. Today, Austin is a healthy, active, intelligent 10 year old with no restrictions and no medication.
