Please join me in this effort to raise funds to support research for congenital heart disease.  Nearly one of every 100 babies are born with a congenital heart defect.  Many undergo open heart surgery during the first weeks to months of life, experience ongoing challenges, and require lifelong complex cardiac care.  As a pediatric cardiologist and cardiac intensivist, I provide care for these kids in the intensive care unit and witness first-hand the many challenges they face as well as their tremendous resiliency. 

For the last two decades, I have served on the Children's Heart Foundation's Medical Advisory Counsil, a committee of national experts that judges research grant applications submitted by leading investigators form across North America.  I can assure you that your contributions will be used to support the most promising research.
