As Livi grows, so does her courage. At 9 years old, she continues to face the challenges of living with congenital heart disease—specifically hypoplastic right heart syndrome. Her journey hasn’t been easy, filled with surgeries, procedures, and hospital stays. There was a time when her scar made her feel different. But over time, Livi has embraced her story with incredible strength—and now, she proudly shows the world just how fearless she is. Inspired by her love for dogs, our team theme this year is “Liv’s Fearless Pack: Born to Howl, Built to Fight”—because Livi is a fighter, and she’s never alone in this.

CHD is the most common type of birth defect, impacting nearly 1 in every 110 babies born in the U.S.—that’s about 40,000 newborns each year. About 1 in 4 of those children, like Livi, are born with critical CHDs and require surgery or procedures within their first year of life.
