I'm walking for the fighters, the angels, and the families who love them. ?

This October, I’m participating in the Congenital Heart Walk with a very special team — and for two incredibly strong little hearts.

I have the privilege and honor of walking alongside a true heart warrior, a young girl I’ve watched grow and blossom over the last 7 years. Despite the challenges she’s faced — including heart surgeries and more — she continues to inspire me with her strength, her spirit, and her smile. Being part of her journey has changed me forever.

I’m also walking in loving memory of a heart angel, Freya Rasco, who passed away earlier this year shortly after birth due to a heart condition. My heart aches for my dear friend who is grieving the unimaginable. Freya’s short life has left a lasting impact on so many, and I walk to honor her memory and every family who has experienced this kind of loss.

Congenital heart defects are the most common birth defect — and research is critical to improving outcomes, advancing treatments, and giving more babies a chance at long, healthy lives.
