Miranda’s Story ?

Our daughter Miranda was born with Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome (HRHS), a severe form of congenital heart disease (CHD). HRHS means her heart was only half developed at birth. Since then, she has endured three open-heart surgeries — a pulmonary band at just 3 weeks old, the Glenn procedure at 6 months, and the Fontan operation at 5 years old.

Today, Miranda is a bright, energetic 9-year-old who loves to dance (she performed in two recitals this year!) and recently attended Camp Braveheart, a camp created just for kids with heart disease. Her strength and joy inspire everyone around her.

But the truth is, Miranda’s heart has no cure. Children with single-ventricle hearts like hers often face lifelong challenges, including heart failure and liver complications. The only way forward is through research — research that can improve treatments, bring hope, and someday, find a cure.

That’s why we are fundraising for the Children’s Heart Foundation, the leading organization dedicated to CHD research. Every dollar raised goes directly toward life-saving studies that will help children like Miranda live longer, healthier lives.
