Times of trouble and hardship always seem to come when least expected. Family death, natural disaster, financial hardship, divorce, eviction, etc. are a few examples of potential surprises. Resources that aid people going through these hard times are made possible by the (AFAF) Air Force Assistance Fund. The AFAF is comprised of four charities that help in a variety of different areas. Supporters help people in need and anything given is well appreciated.
From emergency financial assistance to educational assistance, to community programs, to helping widowed spouses stay in their home as long as possible, to providing a home for them when they no longer can -- the four charities of the AFAF Campaign provide assistance when needed. Hard times come and one day you may be put in a difficult situation and may not have the resources to get through it. Many spouses of retired Air Force members are left widowed and with no one to take care of them, and the AFAF really saves widows in these circumstances. You may use some of these resources in the future if you have not already. Regardless if you ever used any or not, I am sure that if found yourself in a tough situation, you would want someone there to help.
