We Walk for Isaac. 

Before Isaac was born, we learned that he had several complex congenital heart defects: Double Inlet Left Ventricle, Levo-Transposition of the Great Arteries, and Coarctation of the Aorta. While nothing could fully prepare our family for the journey ahead, we knew from the start that Isaac would face challenges that no child should have to endure.

Since birth, Isaac has spent much of his life in hospitals and doctor’s offices, undergoing procedures, surgeries, and tests. He underwent his first open heart procedure at just three days old, followed by his second open heart procedure at 4 months old, and later a surgery to repair a paralyzed diaphragm. Through every setback, recovery, and milestone, Isaac has shown incredible strength and resilience. 

Isaac’s name means “he will laugh” in Hebrew, and that meaning has become a beautiful reflection of who he is. While Isaac's heart defects will always be part of his story, they do not define him. He is joyful, brave, loving, and full of life. He continues to inspire us every day with his courage and his ability to keep smiling through circumstances that would challenge even the strongest adults.

We are participating in this walk to honor Isaac and to support the millions of children and adults living with congenital heart defects. Every donation helps fund critical research, advances in treatment, and hope for better outcomes for heart warriors like Isaac.
