Riley was born in 2021 with Tetralogy of Fallot with pulmonary atresia. From her very first days, she faced more than most do in a lifetime- enduring multiple life-saving surgeries and spending 15 long months in the ICU. Those months were filled with uncertainty, fear, and hope. Because of the research funded by organizations like The Children’s Heart Foundation & because of the medical teams who dedicate their lives to children like Riley — she was given a fighting chance.

Riley is now 4 years old — our brave Heart Warrior. This year she started walking, a milestone that once felt so far away. She loves to dance, be a princess, go shopping, do crafts & watch Disney movies. She is strong, sassy, resilient — and the sweetest, most protective big sister. She is living proof of what research, determination and an incredible medical team can do. 

This year, we proudly walk in memory of our incredible cardiologist Dr. Schiff and honor the legacy he leaves behind within Riley Rose. He truly went above and beyond and had a huge impact on our family. That being said, we wanted to do something extra special this year! We’re sponsoring part of the event by setting up a booth with complimentary snacks, hoping it not only supports families at the walk but also draws more people to attend and get involved!
