I will get right down to it. In July 2021, I received the diagnosis that I have Parkinson's Disease, and my life changed forever. I am very actively engaged with Michigan Parkinson Foundation board, became a mentor for those newly diagnosed, and Lead Facilitator for our Veterans With Parkinsons Support Group just launched in January 2024. I am raising money for this year's 2024 Parkinson's Hero Walk on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Jimmy John's Field in Utica, Michigan. Why am I supporting? It’s personal. US Department of Veterans Affairs has classified me as a 100% service-connected totally and permanently disabled US Marine veteran (contaminated water at Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC). There is no quit in this US Marine! I have an awesome network of family, friends, movement disorder specialists, physical/occupational/speech therapists, and a wellness program that includes Rock Steady Boxing (my personal fav).
