Together We Are Making Life Better for Children and Adults with Autism
We are so glad you are here!
We really need your help to further the mission of HHF and expand our reach to those in need. The underserved autism community desparately needs the Hatching Hope Foundation to continue being their voice and we plan to increase our impact yearly.
Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects 1 in 36 children in the United States, and symptoms look a little different from person to person.
Children who find it difficult to hold a conversation, make eye contact, or empathize with others might fit somewhere on the autism spectrum. They may have compulsive behavior or repetitive movements. Although they may be captivated by a handful of things, they could be behind on their language or learning skills. There isn't a cure for autism, and it's a lifelong condition, but an early diagnosis can improve the quality of life of individuals with autism as well as their careers and relationships.
As a result, the number of families needing support is growing. Your fundraising is an important way we can provide this support to all that are affected by autism. The funds we raise help our families impacted by autism, neighbors, our schools and and our entire community.
HHF’s autism walk is our primary source of funds for all the great free events and services that the autism community so counts on. Programs like free training for parents and educators, free recreational activities for children and adults with autism and their families, and special education advocacy services are making a true and lasting impact.
HHF Steps for Autism Walk is Putting Awareness Into Action Every Single Day
Words like awareness and acceptance are just that, words, unless they are connected to actions – actions that can truly make a difference. By walking with HHF, you are a part of that local difference. You are a part of that local impact.
- Because of your actions, the community can count on us to continue sharing information about autism and the importance of early intervention.
-
Because of your actions, HHF will continue providing free training available for parents and educators throughout the DFW metroplex.
-
Because of your actions, children and adults with autism and their families will participate in recreational events they might never even thought about trying.
-
Because of your actions, families can count on us to offer affordable special education advocacy when families need a voice to help them advocate for the best school services for their child.
Take action. Take the first step. Walk with us and make a difference, make life better for all those with autism.
